Welcome

Welcome! The Love Memorial Hall Alumnae Association (LMHAA) was established to ensure that alumnae residents of Love Memorial Hall (LMH) would have a place to build on relationships that were established during our residency at LMH.

The LMHAA exists to cement bonds among the alumnae of LMH and to provide support to current residents of LMH. To achieve this, LMHAA has an annual publication known as Love Lore, where alumnae can share stories about what is happening in their lives. We also have an annual meeting held alternately in Lincoln in the spring, and at another location for our summer picnic. In addition, we have other special events open to all members of the alumnae association and previous residents of LMH.

We also partner with current residents of LMH for a biennial Spring Tea, provide scholarship opportunities for current LMH residents, and partner with hall leadership as needed to promote cooperative living and support the current needs of Love Hall and its residents.

About LMHAA

The LH Constitution provides for the selection of a resident Class Representative (CR) for each freshman class.  The resident who accepts the job throughout her UNL career is expected to continue when she becomes an alumna of Love Hall.  The part of her student duties that pertains to LMHAA is to gather and maintain contact information from each classmate.  When the CR leaves LH permanently, she will become the Alumnae Class Delegate (CD).  In the event that the CR is unable to accept the CD responsibility, the LH Secretary will work with the departing CR to designate a classmate who still resides in LH to replace her.
